Yohannes Gebregeorgis returned to his native Ethiopia after many years working as a children's librarian in the United States. Through his efforts, children's libraries are now available for the first time, including a mule-drawn bookmobile. He has also been proactive in encouraging the writing of children's literature in native Ethiopian languages.
