This narrated slide show will open your eyes even more. Not only does disease and starvation run rampant in such conditions, but children are extremely vulnerable to being duped into crime or, even worse, trafficked as slaves. The most recent U.S. State Department Trafficking in Persons Report estimates that, of the 800,000 men, women, and children trafficked across international borders each year, 50% of them are children.
